From a young age, Kira Elizabeth Schlep has had a passion for making clothes. Designing clothes for her beloved stuffed bear even before she learned how to sew, she eventually moved on to sewing clothing including a very intensive Renaissance inspired costume. One might say that this was the beginning of her career working with gowns. A graduate from the University of Minnesota’s Clothing Design program, Kira interned with designers in New York such as Junko Yoshioka before settling in Charleston. Kira Elizabeth gowns are ethereal and dreamy. Each design is made with a keen eye to detail and fit. Kira utilizes unique textures and fabrics with non-traditional colors. Over our many years in Charleston, countless couples have celebrated their weddings in our beautiful sanctuary. We believe your wedding should be a beautiful and memorable event and we look forward to helping you make it such. Our building dates back to 1787 and is a registered historic landmark.
